A little known but truly stunning hidden gem of Melbourne – The Heavenly Queen Temple. Located along the Maribyrnong River, the temple to the Chinese sea-goddess Mazu, the deified form of Lin Moniang, a 10th-century Fujianese girl. It is Australia’s largest Taoist temple and includes a 50-foot statue of Mazu imported from Nanjing, China.
