If you’re in Melbourne for a vacation and don’t know where to go and what to do then we have you covered on the shopping front. Shopping is something that needs no introduction and no matter which part of the world you come from, it will always keep you captivated no matter what. Now, Melbourne has a large number of shopping malls which are frequented not only by the fashion-conscious but also by regular people like you and me who are just looking for something nice. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the best shopping malls in the city.
Chadstone Shopping Centre
Often referred to as the fashion capital, Chadstone shopping center is one of the largest and best shopping centers across Melbourne. You can find all the big names, best brands, and lots of parking space here (even though there are thousands of parking spots, it’s still hard to find one often).

Direct Factory Outlets (DFOs)
There are 3 such DFO’s around Melbourne and each of them is different from the others (Moorabbin, Essendon, South Warf / City). There is a variety for everyone at these stores and the prices are very affordable. This is the perfect place to visit when you want to buy a lot of stuff. Whether it is winter wear, woolens, accessories, clothes, etc. you will surely get great deals here. They have more than 120 brands and guarantee that their prices will appeal to anyone.
HighPoint Shopping Centre
one of the oldest and the best. We love this shopping center and often go here due to a large number of stores, choices and quite well organized for a nice shopping weekend for the family or friends.
Myer Emporium in the City
This mall certainly is a retail shopper’s paradise. It has been standing for more than a hundred years now and has seven massive levels not to mention the ground floor and basement. Every floor has a different segment that makes your shopping experience convenient and smooth. From menswear to the latest in gadgets and electronics, you can find everything here. There are restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a meal or coffee too.
Westfield Southland Cheltenham
This shopping mall has a huge parking area which can accommodate more than 6000 cars. It is conveniently located as well. Some of the biggest names in the mall include Village Cinemas, Safeway, Coles, ALDI, Target, Kmart, Big W, Myers, David Jones, and the like. There are a number of good dining options in this restaurant as well. Spend enough time here and you will certainly find something special.
